Elaine Krebs is responsible for Space Foundation Discovery Center’s Public Program offerings, including community outreach and exhibit programming. Elaine oversees programs such as Small Steps Giant Leap, Homeschool Days, Tesla’s Toolbox and Family Star Parties. Prior to coming to Space Foundation, Elaine spent nine years at the California Science Center developing both educational and exhibit programs. Elaine is passionate about communicating science research and has traveled around the world participating with different research teams. She recently spent a month in Antarctica at the South Pole Station working with IceCube Neutrino Observatory. Elaine has a master’s degree in marine biology from the University of Southern California, with a specialty in Science Visualization and Animation. She has won multiple awards for her animated science films, including first prize at the USC Science Film Festival. In her free time, Elaine enjoys golfing, skiing and swing dancing.
