Astronomy Unlocked: Tools for Teaching the Universe

When: June 23-27, 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. daily

Where: Space Foundation Discovery Center

Designed for middle and high school educators, this immersive summer workshop explores phenomena from our own Solar System to the farthest reaches of the universe. Engage with experts in the field, discover cutting-edge technological advancements and discoveries, and take home over 15 classroom-ready lessons. Inspire your students with the wonders of space and deepen your understanding of the cosmos through hands-on learning and expert insights.

Earth Uncovered: Teaching Our Planet and Beyond

When: June 23-27, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily

Where: Space Foundation Discovery Center

Explore Earth's dynamic geological history and its connection to planetary formation in this engaging course for elementary educators. Through hands-on studies of rocks, minerals, natural disasters, and climate change—along with possible local field trips and a Mars analog mission—you’ll gain valuable insights and classroom-ready lessons to inspire students.

Abrams Space Across the Curriculum: Biology

When: July 14-16, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily

Where: Space Foundation Discovery Center

Investigate the connection between the human body and space flight. Gather innovative techniques to bring the wonders of space to fundamental biology principles. During this engaging hands-on workshop, secondary educators will get firsthand experience with 3D Design and learn how to transform their classrooms with 3D Printing.
