Teacher Liaison Resource Bank

The Teacher Liaison Resource Bank is a growing collection of activities, lesson plans, and instructional tools created by Teacher Liaisons for Teacher Liaisons to use at no cost. This compilation is organized by the age group and topic that most closely aligns with each resource. To access a resource, click on the title, and the resource will open in a new window. To make this a robust catalog, please share the magnificent work you've created for your classroom using the form on this page.

3D Print Database

This database features a variety of space education focused CAD (Computer Aided Design) models that you can 3D print in your classroom. From model rovers made for teaching about parts of a rover, to a scale model solar system: these models were designed with the classroom in mind. In addition, you’ll find a guide with each model containing information, set up directions for printing each model, and links to more information.

Stages of a Rocket

Model CubeSat

This 3D Model is based on a 1U CubeSat, following the CubeSat Design Specifications. CubeSats are small satellites used for education, technology testing, science, and even commercial space applications. This model aids in teaching about the size and some basic parts of a CubeSat.

Gateway Space Station

Gateway Space Station

This 3D model is a representation of the future Gateway Space Station, based on NASA concept art. Gateway is a space station that will one day orbit the Moon to help with lunar missions and act as a stop on the way to explore even further. With modules that can be connected in any configuration, this model is a great way to demonstrate how Gateway and other space stations will be assembled.

Solar System

Solar System

This model solar system features all the planets in order, sized to be comparable to each other. Young explorers can measure the diameter of the planets and calculate the ratio of how big one is compared to the other, then apply that to the real deal.

Solar Powered Rover

Solar Powered Rover

Based loosely on past Mars rovers such as Spirit and Opportunity, this model solar powered rover is a great tool to teach about rovers. The model features solar panels, a robotic arm, a suspension system for the wheels, and sensors like those that help rovers explore the Moon and Mars.

Nuclear Powered Rover

Nuclear Powered Rover

This model nuclear powered rover is heavily inspired by the current Mars rovers, Curiosity and Perseverance. Featuring a nuclear power source, a robotic arm, a suspension system for the wheels, and sensors like those that help our most current rovers explore Mars, this rover model is a great way to teach about how space agencies can explore beyond the Earth, even in places where we have not yet sent people!

Rocket in Stages

Rocket in Stages

This model rocket comes apart to show the various stages of a rocket. Based loosely on NASA’s Space Launch System, it is a great tool for teaching about how rocket launches work.

Perseverance Sample Tube Complex

Perseverance Sample Tube Complex

Based on the sample collection tubes carried around Mars by Perseverance Rover, this model can be used with the Perseverance Rock Sample models. When printed in the suggested colors, it will look very similar to the real deal, making it a great tool to teach about the work being done by Perseverance Rover as it studies rocks on Mars.

Perseverance Sample Collection Tube - Simple

This simpler version of the Perseverance Sample Tube model can be assembled in three pieces, making it easy to print and a great tool to teach about how Perseverance Rover is collecting rock samples on Mars.

Perseverance Core Samples

Perseverance Core Samples

Based on the rock samples collected by Perseverance rover on Mars, these models all show the following information: The sample number, sample name, feature the sample was collected from, date the sample was collected, and rock type of the sample. Each sample is also sized to be the same reported length as the samples collected on Mars and can be placed inside the Perseverance Sample Collection Tube models to help teach about the work done to study rocks on Mars.
