Suit Up as Summer Programming Starts at the Space Foundation Discovery Center this Saturday, June 9

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 4, 2018) — Experts say to dress for the job you want, not the job you have, leading the Space Foundation to invite the public to “Suit Up!” Beginning this Saturday, June 9, the Space Foundation Discovery Center will kick off summer with a nine-week Summer of Discovery theme: Suit Up!

Summer of Discovery is special hands-on, fun educational learning designed for the entire family. Included in regular Discovery Center admission, visitors throughout the summer will explore the challenges facing scientists and engineers as they design the spacesuits of the future.

Suit Up! is a limited-engagement exhibit that gives visitors the opportunity to design and test various functions of spacesuit creation, combining the edge of fashion with ultimate utility.

Suit Up! is also the theme for Summer of Discovery, offering special activities at the Discovery Center June 9 – Aug. 11, all included in regular Discovery Center admission.

Upcoming Featured Guests:

Saturday, June 9, 10:30 a.m. – Dog Stars! Staring Denise Gard’s famous border collies, Sienna and Joey. Watch their “star-quality” tricks and learn about the constellations that grace our night sky.
