COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Aug. 16, 2023 — Space Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in 1983, offering information, education and collaboration for the global space ecosystem, today announced that its Space Foundation Discovery Center will host a series of events for the fall. From interactive exhibits to scientific demonstrations, the events offer a unique opportunity for the whole family to engage and learn more about the wonders of space in a fun and safe learning environment.
Event: Mobile Earth + Space Observatory
Date: Saturday, August 19
Time: 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Venue: Space Foundation Discovery Center, Colorado Springs
Admission: General admission
Activities:
• Engage with Mobile Earth + Space Observatory’s captivating scientific demonstrations and exhibits.
• Participate in a variety of self-guided activities and Science On a Sphere® presentations in the Discovery Center

• Look through multiple telescopes and learn about objects in our night sky from Colorado Springs Astronomical Society outreach guides and Discovery Center educators.
• Possible views of the First Quarter Moon, Saturn and its moons, and Deep Sky Objects

Event: Cool Science Festival
Date: Saturday, September 30

Venue: University of Colorado, Colorado Springs,
Admission: No fee
Activities:
• Engage with a variety of hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activity stations hosted by organizations throughout Colorado.
• Enjoy Painting with Sphero, underwater Sphero driving, and creating a solar system bookmark.
