Event Details:
Join us as we return to Tesla’s Toolbox workshops at the Discovery Center in honor of genius engineer and inventor, Nikola Tesla 1856-1943, and energy pioneer to learn about Energy. Energy – it’s all around us Did you know that it never disappears?
- Participants will see and participate in demonstrations showing examples of how energy doesn’t disappear, it only transfers.
- Participants will then build a fun, yet simple, model with which they will test this concept to better understand it.
- Participants will take this model home with them to continue testing at home and anywhere they choose.
Workshop Session #1: 11:00 a.m. – noon
Workshop Session #2: 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Demonstrations:
– Conservation of Energy demo
– Angular Momentum Transfer demo
Activity:
– Build an energy test model
– Test energy test model for Conservation of Energy
– Test model for energy transfer through collision
Workshops are on a first-come, first-served basis.
$5 materials fee in addition to SFDC General Admission.
This event will be the MOST fun for ages 7 and up.
