Homeschool Days: Space Science Slime

Homeschool Days is specially designed for K-12 students and families to offer exciting hands-on activites and workshops throughout the Discovery Center. During the fall, we will be exploring chemistry concepts and their connection to space.
In October, young scientists will explore how polymers have been developed for Earth and space while creating their own recipe for slime and making their own bouncy ball.
$5 materials fee per student per workshop:
Activities:
- 10:00 a.m. Museum opens
- 10:30 a.m. Science On A Sphere® presentation
- 11:00 a.m. Workshop (Grades K-5 recommended) Design Your Own Slime, Create a Bouncy Ball
- 1:30 p.m. Science On a Sphere® presentation
- 2:00 p.m. Workshop (Grades 6-12) Do experiments to design your own slime and create a bouncy ball
Note: We offer similar workshops in the morning and afternoon, scaled by grade level. Please be sure to attend whichever best fits your family.
