May the Fourth Day: The Science of Star Wars

When it comes to space, few things are as woven into the fabric of our society as Star Wars.

We will celebrate the inimitable saga by learning, sharing, and experiencing The Science of Star Wars throughout Space Foundation Discovery Center with hands-on activities, workshops, shows, and presentations.

Join us as we bring a galaxy far, far away right here to the Discovery Center. Whether you find yourself with the Rebel Alliance, the Empire, the First Order, the Bounty Hunters, or just a bystander — you will love celebrating May the Fourth Day with us.

Shows, activities, workshops, and demonstrations include:

• Mini lightsaber workshop for an additional $5 materials fee at 11 a.m. & 2 p.m.
• Decorate baby Yoda cookies at 12 p.m. for an additional $5 materials fee at 12 p.m.
• Science On a Sphere® presentation: The Worlds of Star Wars
• Come dressed as your favorite Star Wars character
• Photo opportunities and demonstrations with members of the 501st Legion, Mandalorian Mercs, and R2D2
• Fly the Kessel Run (will you get it done in less than 12 parsecs!?)
