Event Details:

Space Foundation Discovery Center is hosting a day to celebrate the Annular Eclipse of 2023!

Annular eclipses occur when the distances between the Sun, Moon and Earth are such that the Moon’s shadow does not quite cover the Sun’s surface when viewed from Earth. An annulus, or “ring of fire,” is left around the Sun during the maximum coverage.

Join us as we observe the October 2023 Annular Eclipse. Families will receive a free pair of eclipse glasses to take home, in addition to receiving resources to prepare for the April 2024 Total Solar Eclipse.
