Event Details:

Space Foundation will join Colorado Springs Trails, Open Spaces, and Parks (TOPS) in participating with their annual Leave No Trace Stewardship Day. We will examine the various forms of space junk, how it impacts us here on Earth, and what we can do to minimize our footprint.

Activities and Demonstrations:

  • Interactive space trash timeline Scavenger Hunt
  • Mission to Evade and Sweep Satellite (MESS) workshops at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
  • Leave no trace for Earthlings self-guided activity, featuring outdoor ethics
  • Leave No Trace-themed Science On a Sphere® presentations at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m
