Event Details:

Homeschool Days supports K-12 students and their families by integrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) into exciting laboratory and classroom lessons. Participate in educator-led Science On a Sphere® presentations, Standards-based lessons and demonstrations, and theme-specific activities.

Learn how robots work and how scientists use them in space exploration. If you’ve always wanted to try coding, come on over and try out a variety of robots at the Discovery Center!

Activities:

  • Robotics-themed Science On a Sphere® presentations at 10:30 and 1:00
  • Self-guided activities throughout the day: Coding scavenger hunt, binary beads, Hour of Code
  • Scibblebot workshop at 11:00
  • Spheros/RVR coding challenges at 2:00
