Event Details:

Homeschool Days supports K-12 students and their families by integrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) into exciting laboratory and classroom lessons. Participate in educator-led Science On a Sphere® presentations, Standards-based lessons and demonstrations, and theme-specific activities.

Learn about the geology of Earth and how scientists are using that knowledge to search for precious metals and even life in space!

11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Workshop: Cookie Mining

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Workshop: Spot the Fake, featuring guest speaker Renata Lafler, Executive Director at Mines Museum of Earth Science.

2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.Workshop: Robotic Arm/Grabbing Challenge

Self-Guided Activities: Draw and design a machine for Mars, Google Mars exploration
