Homeschool Days is specially designed for K-12 students and families to offer exciting hands-on activities and workshops throughout the Discovery Center.

Event Details:
Homeschool Day offers STEM experiments and activities for students grades K-12 and families. The spring semester is exploring different fields of engineering and related careers in the space industry.
In April, in celebration of Earth Day, create your own sustainable product using chemical engineering.
*NOTE: The K-5 workshop is the same as the April Tesla’s Toolbox*
$5 materials fee per student per workshop.
Activities:
- 10:00 a.m.-4:00 pm: Museum open – come explore our exhibits, interactives, and labs, and meet other homeschool families!
- 11:00 a.m. Workshop: Exploring Bioplastics (Grades K-5 recommended)
- 12:30 p.m. Workshop: Exploring Bioplastics (Grades K-5 recommended)
- 2:00 p.m. Workshop: Make-Your-Own Bioplastics (Grades 6-12 recommended)
Note: We offer similar workshops in the morning and afternoon, scaled by grade level. Please be sure to attend whichever best fits your family.
