Event Details:

Homeschool Days supports K-12 students and their families by integrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) into exciting laboratory and classroom lessons. Participate in educator-led Science On a Sphere® presentations, Standards-based lessons and demonstrations, and theme-specific activities.

Learn how studying the universe teaches us all the sciences: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and more!

Activities:

  • Science On a Sphere® presentations
  • Guest speaker – Dave Warner, Director of Education, Colorado Springs Astronomical Society; NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador
  • Afternoon workshop: Planispheres & Spectroscopes
  • Self-guided activities: Stellarium exploration, Star Life Cycle Beads
