Join the Space Foundation as we look to the stars and discover the wonders of the universe. This event creates a fun, learning environment for the whole family.

Event Details:

Family Star Party provides a safe, outdoor learning environment for the whole family, connecting attendees to the wonders of the universe. Discovery Center’s partnership with Mobile Earth + Space Observatory, a “science center on wheels” equipped with telescopes, adds another dimension of fun is added to the experience.

Join us for the launch of this school year’s Family Star Party where we celebrate astronomy and the ways we can feel connected to our greater universe.

Learn about why astronomy is important, how we uncover the mysteries of the universe, and how you can get involved as well!

Activities include:

  • Look through multiple telescopes and learn about the objects in our night sky from Colorado Springs Astronomical Society astronomy outreach guides and Discovery Center educators
  • Possible views of Saturn and the Harvest Full Moon
  • Interact with the Mobile Earth + Space Observatory’s scientific demos and exhibits
  • Engage with self-guided activities and Science On a Sphere® presentations in the Discovery Center
