We would love to say this one is only for the science – but it is every bit as much for the FUN!
In preparation for the upcoming Manitou Springs “Great Fruitcake Toss” being held on Jan 22nd, Cool Science will be joining the Discovery Center in sharing the science behind ancient weapon – the Catapult.
Way more for fun, and much less for pillaging, participants will both learn about catapults, see them in action, then get busy building one of their own!
Cool Science will be leading the charge for our participants in two different ways:
- Cool Science will teach and demonstrate with a larger catapult, then

Participants will build and decorate their own mini-catapult and YES… we WILL BE LAUNCHING things around our activity classroom!
