Jen Johnstone is a third-generation Colorado Springs native. She earned a BA in Art History from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. She built a career in retail and customer service through a couple of decades working in custom picture framing, department store sales, and most recently as co-owner and buyer for abaTina Boutique.
She joined the Discovery Center in January 2022 and loves collaborating with the guest relations team and offering our visitors a memorable and impactful experience. She is passionate about filling the Discovery Center Store with the coolest space-themed items. Her hope is that each visitor will find something that will remind them of their visit and foster their curiosity about space. Away from work, she’s an avid reader, a struggling gardener, and a huge fan of road trips.
