Space Foundation International Teacher Liaisons are a community of over 375 educators worldwide who inspire the next generation of explorers. Started in 2004, this internationally recognized program provides benefits that improve teaching skills, provide an encouraging community for educators, and influence space and science education at a global level.

Teacher Liaisons use space-related education programs and practical resources in the classroom to act as advocates for space-based education in their schools and districts. This program is open to public, private, and homeschool teachers, as well as school administrators, principals, specialists, curriculum and instruction developers, and others who deliver education programs to kindergarten through college students.

Space Foundation International Teacher Liaisons serve as a connection between Space Foundation and their schools and communities, often collaborating with other organizations such as NASA.

Benefits:

  • Complimentary registration and Exhibit Center admission for Space Symposium
  • Curriculum resources and various other professional development courses
  • Networking opportunities with top educators and space industry experts
  • Community of encouraging educators across the globe
  • Hands-on and inspiring classroom projects
  • Opportunities to design learning activities in collaborative setting

“Being in the Teacher Liaison program makes me reach more students here. Sharing science with the ones whose life has not given them the chance of dreaming for a better future. Since I’ve started, I have taught over 7,000 students. Thank you so much, Space Foundation.”

– Teacher Liaison, Brazil

"My students had the privilege of designing a STEM solution in the company of an accomplished astronaut and trained engineer. They will always have the memories, photos, and influence of the time they were told how they, too, can chase their dreams.”

“Classes on space topics help to rouse students' curiosity and imagination and encourage students to become increasingly involved in the sciences. It helped me to inspire future generations and helps global information exchange and communication.”

“The Teacher Liaison program training last summer was absolutely invaluable, and my students LOVED the challenges we did in my STEM class. It will truly make a difference in their lives. I hope by my participation at Space Foundation, that others in my area will be inspired to challenge themselves and our students will receive more STEM-related classes and activities.”

– Teacher Liaison, Texas, USA

“The Teacher Liaison program has helped to provide additional professional development to help me grow as an educator. They have also made available unique virtual field trips and resources to impact my students in the STEM content areas. I'm grateful to be a part of this program and I cannot wait to see what the future holds!”
