As a nonprofit, Space Foundation is committed to providing inspirational and dynamic learning experiences for future generations. Our Teacher Liaison program supports educators with highly developed, space-inspired STEM education and professional development, educational resources, an international network for collaboration, and so much more.
With generous donations, we’ve been able to grow our program to support these inspiring educators who spark the enthusiasm of the next generation of explorers, leading to global impact. Currently, our program consists of more than 375 teachers in 25 countries and 40 states, spanning across 6 continents.
Join us in supporting our Teacher Liaison program to bridge the gap between educators and the resources they need, ensuring a more enriched learning experience for students.
The Teacher Liaison program has literally been the wind in my sails to inspire me to bring a robust STEM program to the beautifully diverse Title 1 school I work in. The other teachers in the program are champions of building STEM ecosystems and have a wonderful spirit of collaboration that seeks to build up and celebrate each other.
Being a TL has given me connections to other educators and resources I never could have found on my own. In addition, it lets me network with those outside of education fields to help bring diverse experiences to my students and populations I serve.
The connections, resources, and opportunities that have been provided by the Space Foundation and the TL program have been invaluable in development of my own skills as a space educator, as well as bringing high-quality experiences and materials to my students.
It has been an amazing opportunity. This wonderful community of educators have been quite supportive through the whole process. It has sparked a new and refreshed version of me, allowing my students to experience new goals and also to dream big!
My students come from a rural farming community with limited opportunities to experience high-quality labs. They have had the chance to tour exhibits at the Space Symposium, listen to their teacher discuss opportunities in space-related jobs and careers. Additionally, a couple of students have obtained their pilot's licenses or pursued careers in aerospace/aeronautical engineering, while some have become teachers themselves.
Being a part of the Teacher Liaison program has impacted my students by leveling the playing field by exposing them to new ideas and inspiring the students to turn their dreams into reality.
