Event Details:

Homeschool Days serves K-12 students and their families through engaging hands-on STEAM workshops, and activities throughout the Discovery Center. This fall, we are focusing on the wonders of chemistry and its applications to space. In September, come explore properties of acids and bases through exciting experiments.

Similar workshops are offered in the morning and afternoon, scaled by grade level. Please be sure to attend whichever best fits your family.

Morning activities:

  • 10:00 a.m. Museum opens
  • 10:30 a.m. Science On a Sphere® presentation
  • 11:00 a.m. Workshop (Grades K-5 recommended) Chemistry Rainbow + Make Your Own Bath Bomb

Afternoon activities:

  • 1:30 p.m. Science On a Sphere® presentation
  • 2:00 p.m. Workshop (Grades 6-12 recommended) Chemistry Balloon Rockets
