Just as rovers sent to Mars were improved with engineering and technological advances, so are our rovers in the Lockheed Martin Robotics Laboratory.

Learn to drive and code our new rovers to navigate a landscape modeled after real Martian coordinates. Can you avoid falling into deep craters, maneuver around the large rocks, and reach your objective? Learn how Mars rovers have changed over time in our quest to explore the red planet.

The Mars Lab uses LEGO® EV3 equipment and MINDSTORMS® software to simulate lifelike Mars rover missions to:

  • Teach communication and collaboration skills
  • Hone creative problem-solving skills
  • Increase team engagement
  • Deliver a hands-on component to lessons about Mars and space exploration
  • Develop interest and skills in robotics
