Launch Your Future Explorers, Scientists and Engineers into a Memorable Summer Adventure at the Space Foundation Discovery Center
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May 15, 2018) The Space Foundation Discovery Center is bringing back its summer Explore Space Experience for children ages seven through 12. Explore Space Experience is designed and led by certified master teachers to offer a variety of hands-on, immersive activities and experiences based on space and science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM).
Four Explore Space Experience sessions will be offered this summer for two age groups, seven through nine and 10 through 12. Scholarship opportunities and military discounts are available. Applications for scholarships must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, May 25.
The 2018 Explore Space Experience themes are:
Mars Survivor
Adventurous explorers will learn what it takes to construct a habitat, work and live on Mars.
Ages 7 — 9, June 11 — 14
Ages 10 — 12, July 9 — 12
Jedi Training
Explorers will learn the ways of the Jedi and utilize the latest in technology to explore our galaxy and other worlds.
Ages 7 — 9, July 9 — 12
Ages 10 — 12, June 11 — 14
Sci-Fi World
Explorers will use some of the latest technology to learn about and develop connections between sci-fi movies and real-world space technologies.
Ages 7 — 9, June 18 — 21
Ages 10 — 12, July 16 — 19
I heART Space
Young aspiring artists and designers will embark on a creative journey combining art and space.

Ages 10 — 12, June 18 — 21

Sign up now for all four sessions and receive a discount, or for individual sessions. The schedule is 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Full day registration is $295 per session.
The sessions are all held on site and indoors at the Space Foundation Discovery Center, 4425 Arrowswest Drive, just off of Garden of the Gods Road, in Colorado Springs.
