Event Details:

The Space Foundation Discovery Center will be talking about how 15 countries contributed to build the ISS, 9 countries have launched rockets into space, 3 countries have successfully landed on the Moon, and 3 countries have current missions headed to Mars. Now, more than ever before, space is an international stage. This week’s Home Study Program will explore this fascinating fact in more detail, including updates on all three current international missions to Mars

  • Science On a Sphere® presentation – Lunar Gateway: The Next International Space Endeavor
    • Hourly on the :05
  • Lab Experience – TinkerCad – Cube Sat Design
    • 11:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.
  • LIVE standards-based lessons- Astronaut Training
    • Two-hour long sessions: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. & 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
    • Both sessions suitable for grades K-12 (Different grade levels will complete different tasks)
  • El Pomar Space Gallery – Artifact highlights, real world connections
    • Scavenger hunt with Home Study stamp book
  • Area 52 – Self-directed hands on activities and lessons
    • Open all day
